CARRICK GREENGROCERS is a response to residents frustrations at the predominance of overpriced, undernourishing food flown in from all over the world, when great food is grown just down the road.

The community came together to crowd fund a greengrocers stocking locally grown organic food, and the response blew them away. It turns out loads of people crave affordable healthy food that supports local farmers.

And if more of us did this the growing movement to transition the UK to a nature friendly agroecological farming system with lower dependence on fossil fuels would accelerate.
