LISTEN HERE…

Each episode we’ll meet the folks who’ve had enough and are starting to say ‘Screw This… Let’s Try Something Else’ and are proving there are better ways to approach food, energy, housing and decision making - and then we’ll explore what the country could look like if these ideas spread.

From a mission to reboot an empty high street in Northern Ireland, and people owned power in Bristol to a Shropshire farm with 8,000 community landlords, and a neighbourhood of tomorrow in Birmingham…

Come along on a road trip like no other, and get inspired. Because, even in our troubled times, real hope exists - if you know where to look.

find a project near you…

People are getting active to make our future better all across the UK. Find a project near you by popping your postcode into the search bar below, grab a brew and let the magic happen…

It should take 2 minutes to run on most postcodes, 5 minutes if there’s less data where you are, but never more than 10. If it’s not working for you, you’re welcome to email us at services@rubberrepublic.com and explain your use case.

  • What is this?
This tool uses a database and AI to search for networked, systemically change-making projects within five miles of the postcode you enter.

  • How is it built?
We’ve built it as a demo of what’s possible. It’s imperfect — we’ve done it with very little funding, and the data available online isn’t always fully up to date.

  • Please feedback!
We believe this is a powerful tool, but it’s draft one, built almost for free, so feedback is very welcome and will help us improve it.
